As part of the longest-running national celebration of books for young people and the joy of reading, over 1,300 schools, libraries, and bookstores will celebrate Children’s Book Week from May 6 to 12 from coast to coast in all 50 states.
The theme for this year’s celebration is No Rules. Just Read. This year’s theme speaks to the joy and pride that come with reading what you want, when you want, and how you want. It is an affirmation that there is not a right way or thing to read.
We are proud to be hosting the following events in celebration of Children’s Book Week:
Pajama Party
- Monday, May 6 from 5:30-6:30pm
- Join us for a special story time—remember to wear your pajamas!
Ice Cream
- Friday, May 10 from 4-5:30pm
- All ages are welcome to stop in for an ice cream treat.
Rock Painting
- Friday, May 10 from 4-5:30pm
