Homeschool Show & Tell is an engaging and educational initiative designed to nurture creativity, develop public speaking skills, and inspire a love for learning among homeschool students.
The Homeschool Show & Tell program is a dynamic and interactive series of sessions specially crafted for homeschool students of all ages. The program aims to provide a platform for young learners to:
- Explore Fascinating Topics: Participants will have the opportunity to speak on a topic they are passionate about and present it to their peers.
- Develop Public Speaking Skills: Public speaking is a vital skill in today's world. Through regular presentations, students will gain confidence and competence in articulating their ideas effectively.
- Encourage Critical Thinking: Engaging in thoughtful discussions and answering questions from their peers fosters critical thinking and communication skills.
- Build Lifelong Learning Habits: The program fosters a love for learning, promoting the idea that education doesn't end with formal schooling.
The Homeschool Show & Tell program is open to students of all ages. Sessions will be held monthly on the first Tuesday at 11am September through May providing a consistent platform for students to share and learn.
Guidelines for show & tell items:
- you must be able to carry your show & tell item yourself
- the item must be appropriate for all ages
- it can be nothing too expensive or irreplaceable (we recommend a photo of such an item)
Participation is free of charge and open to all homeschool students in Allamakee County.
